Jacob said in his lecture this week that we should consider ourselves "gifted." He asked us to say aloud, "I AM GIFTED."
And we need to celebrate those gifts. Suppose someone gave you a new shirt. Then while you were out about town another person said, "nice shirt!" If you say, "What? This ol' rag?" then you are being insulting to the gift giver.
The same is true with your goddess/universe-given talents and abilities. To downplay your gifts is to insult god. Celebrating yourself is NOT a selfish act. It is being grateful for the gifts given to you. This life is a gift. Do not apologize for it or downplay the miracle that is you.
